My life is not a cookie cutter
Hi all! Here I am in New York, can't say I have gotten use to the idea of, "what the heck I'm I doing here? Oh yeah-hubbys job relocation!" This past year has challenaged and forced me to re-create my new self. My East coast self. It hasn't been easy folks! 8 months pregos, installed in "coorporate housing" (prison) and in the City!!!!! These were all good reasons to go loco for coco puffs!!! and eat a box too! But hey, I made it! I stopped trying to make everything fit into how my old life was back in Cali. I mean I'm across the country with a new addition and with no support system. Tip:For those of you who have friends and relatives near, exploit them. If they want to look after your little ones for a day or have them spend the night, do it. Hand them over and hasta la vista! Anyway I needed to adjust to my new way of life. I needed to let go, give-in and laugh a lot!! I also managed to add some cussing words in my vocab and that's that I hate a filthy mouth! I guess the point I'm trying to make is, no matter what your current situation, you need to adjust to it. For those of you who did not see me at months 8 and 9- I looked like I swallowed a barn! Even with my own tips and healthy eating living, I managed to gain 50lbs peeps! Yes I was a walking living barn (but a healthy one Hee hee) This was a good opportunity to say, "what the @@**!!! I'm giving up, I'm pregnant, away from all my Everfit clients and friends who know me as thin and healthy. What the heck, I'll pig out on all the stuff I preached against. Y Que? Right? I just couldn't--I would try and order the unhealthy stuff but I just couldn't? I knew better-I had a gift in me. I knew processed food would rip me and baby plus I would feel it within the day of eating it. After Sosi came, I didn't try to lose the weight, it just happened. Slowly but surely the weight started to drop. I adopted my principals of eating to live and live fully. Listen for all of you who knew me as one who was always looking for the low-fat verson of foods. I've adjusted to my new life here and guess what? I don't do that anymore!!! Yes I have the full blowed Ben Jerry's or creamer in mytea. I taste all but not scarf it all.
